Following yesterday's evasi0n7 update to rectify jailbreak complications with the Retina iPad mini, the evad3rs have now released evasi0n7 1.0.4 to add increased “Untether security” and further iPad mini 2 support. Similar to yesterday's release and previous versions of evasion7, the latest update is still a one-click jailbreak 7.0.4 utility that's also capable of jailbreaking all previous iterations of iOS 7 on the iPod touch 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Mini 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPad mini models. For those of you who are already jailbroken on 7.0.4, Saurik will publish the security changes in today's release as an update available through Cydia. |

A jailbreak call PP jailbreak tool for Mac has been released which will let you jailbreak your iPhone, iPad running from iOS 8.0 to iOs 8.1.2. If you have not yet upgraded to iOS 8.1.2 due to non-availability of jailbreak, now you can. You should upgrade your iPhone, iPad to latest 8.1.2 and in this tutorial I will show you how to use PP jailbreak on your MacOS.
Here are supported iOS device by PP Jailbreak:
- iPhone 6 plus,iPhone 6,iPhone 5,iPhone 5S,iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4
Preparing for jailbreaking iOS 8.1.2 on iPhone 5S using PP Jailbreak:
- Very first thing you need to do is download PP Jailbreak tool for Mac OS X from this link.
- Upgrade your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8.1.2
- Go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Disable Passcode
- Go to Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone (Disable it)
If you have done all of the above, let’s move ahead and jailbreak our iPhone 5S running on iOS 8.1.2. Now install and open PP Jailbreak tool. If you get this error saying:
“PP??” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers
Go to Application > Right click on PP Jailbreak > Open and in the pop-up click on open.
Now when the application will open, it will recognise your iPhone but you might be feeling lost as everything is written in Chinese. Just follow the below steps and it won’t take time for you to use PP Jailbreak tool.
As shown in screenshot just uncheck the box and click on jailbreak to start jailbreaking your iOs 8.1.2 on iPhone or iPad.

On the next screen you will see two buttons, click the button on the right and PP tool will do it’s magic.
It will take about 2 minutes to complete the process and your iPhone will reboot and you will see the Cydia icon.
Update: Download PP Jailbreak tool for Windows from here. It supports XP / Vista / Win7 / Win8. (I don’t have windows so can’t do a tutorial for this). But the process would be simple. Use the Google translate and follow the steps to use it on Windows OS.
Well if you have used Cydia before, you would notice only one change here. Apart from all the default cydia sources, you will notice a PP 8.0-8.1.X Untether source.
That’s it for now and I suggest you to update your iPhone and iPad, and jailbreak it soon before Apple fixes the bug and release iOS 8.1.3. After jailbreak, make sure you add few more cydia sources to pimp up your iPhone. Here are few guides to get you started:
