Fed up with space games that insult your intelligence and violate every law of physics? Orbiter is a simulator that gives you an idea what space flight really feels like - today and in the not so distant future. And best of all: you can download it for free!
How to trick the OS X installer. When the OS X installer complains that 'No packages were eligible for install' and displays this window: don't restart your Mac. Turn Wi-Fi off or unplug the Ethernet cord, depending on your configuration, to prevent your Mac from connecting to the Internet: Select UtilitiesTerminal: Click the window that appears. Had to reboot with Command-R MacOS Recovery and re-installed the OS. I didn't have to do internet recovery, good thing because I did not have Wi-Fi at the time. One problem I did experience - when it came back up I had a very difficult time reconnecting to my Wi-Fi and I had to go through diagnostics to get it to connect. Download and install the OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 Combo Update or 10.12.6 Combo Update or Download macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 Combo Update as needed. Reinstall OS X by booting from the Recovery HD using the Command and R keys. When the Utility Menu appears select Reinstall OS X then click on the Continue button. Erase and Install OS X Restart.

Bandmateloops.com on Thursday announced the release of Low Orbital Beats, a new collection of drum loops for GarageBand musicians. Low Orbital Beats is available for online purchase and download for US$19.95. The loops also work with Logic 7 and Soundtrack.
Low Orbital Beats was produced by Peace Love Productions and features what the publisher describes as “funky downtempo/chill-out rhythms with a little moon dust sprinkled in for good measure. It’s billed as a cross-genre rock and hip-hop collection with a distinctly electronic theme. One-hundred fifty seven drum loops and effects are included in the collection, which totals 147MB.
Preview loops and a song demo are available for review from the Bandmateloops.com Web site.
