We both have macs and it seems to be working pretty well. It syncs with iSync easily, or you can use the software that comes with it. It cost me $185, but there is a new Tungsten E2 that has just come out that is like $300 I think, but for what she would use it for, the older one will be more than enough. It works with mac Address Book, iCal, and other programs, as well as Word, Excel, and Entourage a little bit. And it can hold photos and mp3's. I use the iPaq as an address book, to gather email on the run and as a satellite navigation device. It handles Word, Excel and any other Microsoft format and you can load Pocket Phojo as a back up or lightweight image editing package. The best bit is that it synch's with Entourage under OSX using a small bit of cheap software called POCKET MAC. The downside is that you have to borrow a friend's Windows PC to load most software onto the iPaq but that isn't true of Pocket Phojo which recognises that Macs are a major factor in photography by making a Mac based installer available. I also bought a 1 Gig card for it to hold music and a mini portfolio of images. Since I do not have an ipod yet, I use this as my mp3 player when on the road. I would like to stay away from anything windows based. That is just a personal preference though. I like that the Tungston E2 has the Bluetooth in it.
